of Rights

Why this document exists: The manufactured home finance industry has a long history of steering borrowers toward products that benefit lenders, not buyers. Home Clarity was built to change that. These eight rights are not aspirational — they are operational commitments that shape how every tool, every lender relationship, and every consultation on this platform is structured.
1

The Right to Unbiased Information

You have the right to receive honest, complete information about manufactured home financing — including information that may lead you away from any product or lender on this platform if that's what's best for your situation.

What this means in practice

Our tools will tell you when a chattel loan is your only realistic option right now. They will also tell you when a lender on our platform is likely not your best fit. We do not hide unfavorable information to protect a lender relationship.

2

The Right to Understand All Costs Before You Commit

You have the right to know the full cost of any loan — including origination fees, interest rate, APR, total interest paid over the loan life, and any prepayment penalties — before you submit a full application.

What this means in practice

Our Cost Comparator and Affordability Calculator show you lifetime loan costs, not just monthly payments. We teach you to ask every lender for the APR and total interest before proceeding. If we originate your loan, our fee is disclosed in writing in a Loan Estimate before you go further.

3

The Right to Know How Home Clarity Makes Money

You have the right to a complete, plain-language explanation of every dollar Home Clarity earns — and how, if at all, our revenue model could influence the information you receive.

What this means in practice

Our full revenue model is published at homeclarity.house/how-we-make-money. We charge lenders flat platform fees — never per-lead or per-loan fees. Your Loan Navigator results are based on your profile, not on which lender pays us more.

4

The Right to Opt Out of All Communications at Any Time

You have the right to stop receiving any communication from Home Clarity — email, SMS, or otherwise — at any time, with immediate effect, and without losing access to any platform tool.

What this means in practice

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Every text message contains STOP instructions. Opting out of communications never affects your ability to use the calculators, Loan Navigator, or any other tool — they remain freely accessible without providing contact information.

5

The Right to Know When Content Is Sponsored

You have the right to know when any article, email, video, or placement on this platform has been paid for by a lender, dealer, or other third party.

What this means in practice

Sponsored content is labeled "Sponsored by [Lender Name]" prominently at the top of the piece — not in a footnote. Paid email placements are labeled "Paid Partnership." We do not write editorial content designed to benefit a paying partner without disclosure.

6

The Right to a Referral to a HUD-Approved Counselor

You have the right, at any time, to be referred to a free or low-cost HUD-approved housing counselor if you would benefit from independent third-party guidance.

What this means in practice

If your situation is complex, if you're unsure whether any option we show you is right, or if you simply want a second opinion from someone with no financial stake in your loan — we will connect you with a HUD-approved counselor. This referral is always available, always free, and never discouraged.

7

The Right to Your Data

You have the right to request a copy of all personal data Home Clarity holds about you, and the right to request that it be deleted, at any time.

What this means in practice

Submit a data access or deletion request at homeclarity.house/privacy-hub. We will respond within 30 days. We do not sell your data to any third party — including the lenders listed on this platform.

8

The Right to Report a Violation

You have the right to report any instance where you believe Home Clarity has violated these commitments — and to receive a substantive response within 5 business days.

What this means in practice

Email compliance@homeclarity.house with the subject line "Bill of Rights Concern." We take these reports seriously. If a lender on our platform has violated borrower rights in connection with a Home Clarity referral, we will investigate and, if warranted, remove them from the platform.

Our Commitment, in Writing

These rights are not marketing language. They are the operating principles that determine how this platform is built, how lender relationships are structured, and how we handle every borrower interaction.
